  1. I don't like commentators that go on and on about it how ace one player is so Chess24 makes me Zzz. I like the focus on the game for a quick update when I miss games!

  2. Radja makes a fool of himself with this 1200 Elo Qe6 move. Those gms are never fails to surprise me. It’s not only Nepo who seems to be hypnotic to other players. Magnus knows dark magic too.

  3. 4:12 At first look defending the d3 pawn with Qb3 was a mistake. Would have been better to lift the Rook to a3 and get it out of the Bishop's X-ray at the same time as the pawn is defended, but also open the possibility of a battery on A down the line. Furthermore, it leaves the defense of the Knight on f3 while simultaneously putting the Queen in front of the opponent's Rook that could be a threat if the position opens up on B… which was his plan all along. Lo and behold, Queen returns to d1 later.

  4. Never trade your rook in a rook pawn endgame or your queen in a queen pawn endgame, unless you are sure you have a win. Of course, there was tremendous time pressure in this game.

  5. It's a pitty that Teymour offered that Queen trade which was clearly losing. Could look like a blunder. But this shows how good Carlsen is because Teymour only did that move because he was so low on time and couldn't find anything else with 1-3 seconds on the clock.
It's so helpful that Agad tells us how they are on the clock, because chess at this level is almost more a fight against time than against the other player.
You can be better positionally, but if you are lower on time and the other player properly defends, you can easily end up losing.
I think this is exactly what happened here.
Teymour did a great job, but Carlsen can do as good as you with less time and that is what at the end makes the difference.
